TripCompass – Terms of Service

Welcome to TripCompass. By downloading, installing, or using the TripCompass mobile application (“App”), you agree to these Terms of Service (“Terms”). If you do not agree, please do not use the App.

1. Overview

TripCompass is a travel planning application that allows users to create itineraries, organize reservations, track budgets, build packing lists, and generate shareable trip summaries.

The App is provided for personal, non-commercial use.

2. User Responsibilities

You are responsible for:

• The accuracy of the travel information you enter

• Verifying reservation details with airlines, hotels, rental agencies, and other providers

• Confirming travel dates, times, and costs

• Ensuring compliance with travel laws, visa requirements, and local regulations

TripCompass does not book travel, issue tickets, or guarantee reservation accuracy.

3. No Travel or Financial Advice

TripCompass is a planning and organization tool only.

The App does not provide:

• Legal advice

• Financial advice

• Travel guarantees

• Real-time booking confirmations

All travel decisions are made at your own discretion and risk.

4. Data Storage and Offline Use

TripCompass is designed to work offline. Most trip data is stored locally on your device.

You are responsible for:

• Backing up your device

• Protecting your device access

• Understanding that deleting the App may permanently delete locally stored trip data

TripCompass is not responsible for lost data due to device issues, deletion, or user actions.

5. Third-Party Services

The App may use third-party services such as:

• Weather data providers

• Location or places APIs

TripCompass is not responsible for the accuracy, availability, or reliability of third-party data.

6. Intellectual Property

All content within the App, including:

• Branding

• Design

• Logos

• Interface elements

• Text and layout

are the property of TripCompass and may not be copied, reproduced, or distributed without permission.

7. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Reverse engineer the App

• Attempt to disrupt or interfere with App functionality

• Use the App for unlawful purposes

• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to systems or data

8. Limitation of Liability

TripCompass is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, TripCompass is not liable for:

• Missed flights

• Booking errors

• Financial losses

• Travel disruptions

• Data loss

• Indirect or consequential damages

Use of the App is at your own risk.

9. Changes to the App

TripCompass may update, modify, or discontinue features at any time without notice.

Future versions may include optional paid features or subscriptions.

10. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate access to the App if these Terms are violated.

11. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by the laws of the United States, without regard to conflict of law principles.
